Annual Pellet Stove Service Package —
Starting at $189 per Stove
A straightforward annual service designed to keep a well-maintained stove running clean and efficiently.
Package price area: Grass Valley, Nevada City, Auburn & Penn Valley
Outside the package area: annual service is available with additional travel pricing (we’ll quote before scheduling).
Includes (typical annual service scope):
- Clean and service core stove areas (burn pot area, firebox, accessible ash areas)
- Clean accessible heat-exchange / airflow pathways (as model allows)
- Inspect door/ash pan gaskets and sealing surfaces
- Verify proper startup/operation (when conditions allow)
- Quick performance/safety check and recommendations
Not included / may require additional time & cost (we’ll discuss before proceeding):
- Repairs or parts replacement (igniters, blowers, switches, boards, gaskets, etc.)
- Heavy neglect cleanouts or “unknown history” stoves that require significantly more time
- Venting/chimney sweeping beyond what is accessible at the stove (or specialty chimney work)
- Insert removals, tight-access disassembly, or work requiring special access steps
- Multiple stoves (package price is per stove)
If additional work is needed:
Any extra cleaning beyond package scope, diagnostics, or repairs are available at $125/hr, with your approval before we proceed.
Diagnostics & Repair – When it’s NOT “Just a Cleaning”
If your stove is failing to start, shutting down, feeding inconsistently, or throwing codes, we can troubleshoot and repair many common issues.
Common diagnostics/repairs we handle
- No-start / ignition troubleshooting
- Proof-of-fire / shutdown troubleshooting
- Feed system symptoms (auger/feed consistency troubleshooting)
- Combustion/exhaust blower and convection blower issues
- Vacuum/pressure-related shutdowns (airflow restriction symptoms, switch symptoms)
- Limit switch / snap disc symptom checks (overheat/unsafe shutdown conditions)
- Electrical basics: fuses, connections, obvious harness issues (as applicable)
- Performance issues caused by airflow restrictions and worn seals
Pellet Stove Minimum Services Call: $175.00 (First hour to diagnose & repair
Repair Rate: $125/hr. (parts extra, as needed – billed in 1/4 hour increments)
with additional travel pricing (we’ll quote before scheduling).

What We Don’t Focus On
To keep service efficient and safe, we typically do not take on:
- Full new stove installations or major venting redesigns
- Major vent/chimney modifications requiring permits or specialty chimney contractors
- Roof work, masonry/chimney rebuilds, or cap installs requiring roof access
- Warranty work that must be performed by a manufacturer-authorized provider
